Gretel Sharp is a performance based artist an extensive background in acting and creative practices in multiple disciplines. Her works range across theatre making, writing, film and performative installations, often exploring themes of the feminine in mythology, fun in the otherworldly and natural world to inspire the magical in the everyday.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Theatre & Performance, an Advanced Diploma of Screen, Media & Acting, and completed a performance internship with The Rabble & Malthouse Theatre where she researched devised performance, image based theatre and collaborative theatre application.
Gretel is also very invested in community, youth and collaboration. She’s hosted many group events such as facilitating creative circles, meditation spaces, as well as working as a creative tutor for kids in workshops of story-telling, acting & film making for 4 over years. She also supported FOH at Malthouse Theatre for 4 years and currently helps to manage theatre shows and creative events at Platform Arts Organisation.
