ON A DAY IN SUMMER IN A GARDEN
What would the trees say if they could talk?
Adapting Don Haworth’s radio play, On a Day in Summer in a Garden, the short play was an absurd staging that followed a day in the life of three trees from different three generations sharing their perspectives and battling the ever-impending threat of the bulldozer. Through the hilarity and absurdity of talking trees and their murderer, the short piece explored the very real dilemma of deforestation and acted as an emotional plea from our ecosystem.
